Mark Dalton Dunn

Mark Dalton Dunn was ordained a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood by Val Dalton Dunn in the Pocatello 2nd Ward of the Pocatello East Stake on September 3, 1972. The Bishop was Ralph Stephenson.

He was made an Elder in Pocatello, Idaho East Stake July 3, 1977 by Val Dalton Dunn, his brother, who was born just exactly 10 years before Mark. The Stake President was Merrill Sharp.
January 8, 2006 Mark was ordained an High Priest by Val Dalton Dunn in Draper, Utah.
He has been called to be the High Priest Group leader as well.
I was able to go with Val to be there. Val gave him a beautiful blessing as well as promises.
He seems very pleased about his new assignment and will do an excellent work there.
May the Lord bless him and help him.

So, Mark has his big calling to do and Daniel, his son, will leave on his mission from the MTC to the Los Angelos Spanish speaking mission in 10 days [January 18, 2006].
Mark has ordained both of his son's Dalton and Daniel to all their Priesthood's including Elders.

Val baptised Mark and has been able to bless him with all the Priesthood ordinances. He is a fine worthy brother in every way. I love them both dearly.
I am so proud of them [in a righteous way].

Dale Ellertson Dunn

On the 24th of September after midnight I had a sweet happy feeling of freedom come over me. I later thought how we are like a river and the people we are is influenced largely by the analogy by the rivers and streams that flow into us with our parents being the main tributaries. It is not just the genetic material that flows to us but also the sum of thier personalities and experience. Other streams feeed into the river and influence who we are and what we experience in life. When we marry it like two major streams or rivers flowing together combining the two families. I then had a peaceful feeling and thought of the son "O My Father"

Married in Salt Lake Temple. Dale was in the service and recieved permission from Randolph Field authorities, where he was a Lt., to come home to be married. We ate at the Temple cafateria with our family. We had recieved a parking ticket while in the Temple. Dale and I walked to the police station where they canceled it. As we walked back,we stopped at a florist. Dale bought me a beautiful purple orchid. That was my wedding bouquet I had for the lovely reception that Dale's parents gave for us at the Jensen Home on the corner of Highland Drive and 27th south. We left the next morning, another couple,(Jeanie and Harold Walker,he was in the service, too)for San Antonio,Texas.(our first home.)
My grandmother, Sarah Jane Davis Dalton, wrote in her records----
Delma is the second darling little daughter of Dell and Rachel. She is a sweet little blue eyed, black hair little baby girl and now a darling wife and mother of 4 beautiful boys [this was written before the last 3 sons were born]. Her second son died at birth but she now has 3 bright, fine little boys. She is a wonderful mother and is very choice in her training of her family and a dilgent worker in church activities. Her husband is a fine young man and very congenial in every way and they are a happy little family.
Delma is a darling little wife and mother and we all love to partake of her hopitality as she lives in Salt Lake City, where we all sometimes go.

Jary Dalton Dunn

Jary only lived one hour.Just long enough for Dale to give him a name and a blessing. Dale flew his little body in an air force plane so he could be buried in Salt Lake City. The little casket just fit in the storage compartment of the plane. He is buried at Wasatch Lawm Cemetery near Hazel and Bill Dunn, his grandparents, are now buried.
